Building LinkedIn Post Creator App using AI App Builder

In today’s fast-paced world of digital marketing, creating consistent, engaging content is key to standing out on platforms like LinkedIn. But coming up with fresh, high-quality posts daily can be time-consuming. That's where Markov's AI App Builder can help you!

Markov’s AI App Builder makes creating AI-driven applications super easy, even if you don’t have any coding experience. It’s a no-code tool that lets you build custom AI apps in just a few minutes. With a simple, user-friendly interface, anyone can create powerful apps, from marketers to developers.

Instead of writing the same post prompts over and over, you can save them as apps and use them whenever you need them. In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a LinkedIn Post Creator app that helps you generate LinkedIn posts with just a few simple instructions.

Let's get started!

Step 1: Create Your App

Navigate to the AI Apps from the left navbar. Go to the Builder page from the left sidebar and click on Create new app button as shown below.

This will open a pop-up allowing you to enter the details below to create an app.

  • App Name: Choose something like "LinkedIn Post Creator" to keep it clear and simple.
  • App Description: Explain what your app does, such as, "Create a LinkedIn post for your social media campaign."

Now click on the "Create" button to create the app.

Step 2: Set Up Your App on the Builder Page

Once you create an app, you are led to the builder page. This is where you set up how the AI will generate outputs. It has three main sections: the prompt section, the placeholder section, and the playground. Let's go over them one at a time.

Instruction Prompt

This is where you tell the AI exactly what you want it to do. This is the part of your builder page that defines how the AI will generate content. The clearer and more specific your prompt are, the better the AI will be at creating exactly what you need.

You might start with something simple like, "Write a LinkedIn post introducing a new product feature with a professional tone."

This works fine, but it's a bit basic, right? It doesn’t give the AI enough direction on how to write the post, what kind of tone to use, or what kind of content to focus on.

To get better results, you need to refine your prompt. Say you changed it to, "Create a LinkedIn post based on the given requirements and context. Use a one-on-one conversational yet professional tone, and include relevant emojis."

Now, this is more specific. You have told the AI to use a conversational yet professional tone and added a direction to include emojis. But there’s still room for improvement. You want the AI to be even more focused and help create a post that truly engages LinkedIn’s audience.

To help both save your time and write a detailed prompt for the AI to follow, Markov provides an option called "Generate a prompt". It uses AI to help you write a better instruction prompt for your app. Follow the steps below:

  • To get started, click on the Generate a Prompt button at the top-right of the instruction prompt box.

  • A pop-up will appear where you can describe your task in more detail. Just type in what you want the AI to do and click on "Generate a Prompt".

  • Keep trying until you find a good prompt. Click on the "Select" button, and the prompt will be updated in the instruction prompt section, as shown below.

The updated prompt will look like this, "Act as an engaging LinkedIn content creator. Write a concise, impactful LinkedIn post with a professional yet conversational tone. Include relevant emojis to enhance engagement, and make sure it resonates with LinkedIn’s professional audience."

Much better and faster, right?

You have specified the tone, the length, the use of emojis, and even the type of audience you want to engage with. This ensures the AI will generate exactly what you need.

Placeholder Text

Once you are happy with your prompt, it’s time to add placeholders. Placeholders are like fill-in-the-blank spaces that guide users on what information they need to provide for the app to work as expected. This makes your prompt flexible and reusable. For example, you could add placeholders like: "Provide the post requirements and reference text."

This way, users can insert just enough instructions and content, without needing to rewrite the entire prompt. It keeps the core prompt intact and ready for future use, making your app more efficient and adaptable.

Playground

Use the Playground to see if the app generates the LinkedIn post the way you want it to. If it’s not quite right, you can tweak the prompt or placeholders until the result looks perfect. Keep testing and adjusting until you are happy with the output.

Step 3: Publish Your App

Once you are happy with the app and it’s creating the posts as expected, it’s time to share it. Click Publish to make your LinkedIn Post Creator app available to all.

You can find it both on the Live Apps page and on the Builder page under published apps, as shown below.
